NASHVILLE - Nashville Predators centre Mike Ribeiro and his wife have settled a lawsuit in which their nanny accused the player of sexual assault.
An arbitrator met July 6 for eight hours before settling the lawsuit. His report was entered Wednesday in the Eastern District of the U.S. District Court in Texas.
The settlement came less than a month after an amended complaint provided more details by the woman. She said she was assaulted in 2012 when she was 18, and cited other instances when he made her “feel extremely uncomfortable.”
A lawyer for the Ribeiros said in a statement that the lawsuit was “amicably resolved” but would not discuss the confidential settlement.
