The Calgary Flames beat the Winnipeg Jets in exhibition action on Tuesday evening at the Saddledome. (And they probably should have given the disparity in the two lineups.) Following the game, head coach Bill Peters had a few thoughts on his team’s performance.
Special teams units get some work in
In part because of how their lineups have gone in the prior five pre-season games, the Flames hadn’t gotten a ton of work – or had a ton of success – on the power play. With Milan Lucic filling in for Matthew Tkachuk as the net-front presence on the top unit, the Flames had a lot of time with the man advantage.
