No Flames home games until at least July as Calgary extends public event ban

Folks, the window for the Calgary Flames to conclude their 2019-20 regular season schedule has gotten a bit narrower. The City of Calgary on Friday announced they have extended their ban on public events through June 30.

The city has barred public events dating back to the big flare-up of coronavirus cases in early March. The National Hockey League officially put a halt to the season on March 12. The Flames have 12 games remaining on their schedule, including eight home dates.

NHL markets have been asked for building availability for July and August by the league with the notion of competing the season and playoffs in some form without impacting the start date for the 2020-21 season.
