MONTREAL — The Canadiens had the best start in franchise history last fall (9-0), but the wheels fell off after Hart Trophy winner Carey Price suffered a sprained MCL on Nov. 25. The good news is Price is healthy and at the top of his game after leading Team Canada to gold at the World Cup of Hockey. He posted a 5-0 record and allowed only seven goals.
General manager Marc Bergevin made three key moves to bolster Price’s supporting cast. He enraged some fans by trading popular defenceman P.K. Subban to Nashville for Shea Weber, but this move should pay off in the short term because Weber is bigger and more physical.
