As we discussed during The Tinderbox Podcast on Monday, the NHL appears to be settling on a time frame to begin the 2021 season. Hockey clearly won’t be played before the New Year for obvious reasons, but the start date might not be too far behind.
It’s being reported today that the NHL and NHLPA are looking at a potential start date of January 13, 2021. This is all still up in the air, as there are other issues that the league and players association need to work out to make the season happen. One thing reportedly not in the way is the economic proposal the league made to the players recently, which did not sit well with the players.
