Good news for the Calgary Flames. Word out of the league office – first reported by ESPN’s Emily Kaplan – is that Flames forward Milan Lucic won’t face any supplemental discipline for a hit on Edmonton Oilers goaltender Mike Smith in the third period of Game 3.

Lucic was levied a major penalty and a game misconduct on the play. Following the game, Flames head coach Darryl Sutter seemed to understand the logic behind tossing Lucic from the game, stating “It’s the score and who it was.
