Martin Pospisil expected to miss four to six weeks with torn MCL and MPFL

Calgary Flames prospect Martin Pospisil is expected to miss the next four to six weeks of action as he recovers from a torn medial collateral ligament (MCL) and medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) in his left knee.

Pospisil will not require knee surgery as a result of the injury, FlamesNation has learned.

Can confirm #Flames prospect Martin Pospisil suffered a torn MCL and MPFL in his collision with Laval forward Yannick Veilleux on Sunday.

I'm told his knee will not require surgery and he's been given an estimated recovery time of 4-6 weeks.
