While his teammates were busy firing a franchise record 62 shots on goal at one end of the ice, Calgary Flames goaltender Jacob Markstrom stopped all 23 shots he faced on Wednesday for his league-leading sixth shutout of the 2021–22 season.
Markstrom, 31, also set a Flames record with his fourth road shutout of the season. He made nine saves in the first period, eight in the second, and six in the third to seal a 6–0 Flames victory.
