Maple Leafs' Percy continues to display patience

Stuart Percy doesn’t have to be told about patience.

It’s the buzzword that is being used by Maple Leafs management just about every time the subject of the club’s prospects arises, and it applies to all of them.

Percy gave it a twist on Friday night at the Air Canada Centre in the Leafs’ 6-4 pre-season loss against the Buffalo Sabres.

The 22-year-old defenceman, who cracked the Leafs roster out of training camp last fall and played in nine games for the Leafs in the 2014-15 regular season, had a veteran’s poise as he waited out Sabres defender and beat goalie Robin Lehner off the far post.
