Jiri Hudler Wins Lady Byng Memorial Trophy

The Calgary Flames will leave Nevada with two pieces of hardware, folks.

Flames winger Jiri Hudler eased the pain of Johnny Gaudreau finishing third in Calder voting by capturing the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, given to the player who combines the highest levels of on-ice performance and gentlemanly conduct.

Hudler quietly anchored Calgary's top line as a veteran mentor for Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan, finished 8th in league scoring (notching 31 goals), and only took seven minor penalties all season. He was, in many ways, the straw that stirred the drink for the Flames this season.
