Jacob Markström becomes first Flames goaltender to ever record three shutouts in four games

In case you couldn’t tell, Jacob Markström is feeling it right now.

With a 4-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday, Markström became the first goaltender in Calgary Flames history to record three shutouts in four games.

Markström made 20 saves in the victory, improving to 4-1-1 with a .957 save percentage on the season. He tied his single-season career-high with his third shutout of the year.

According to Natural Stat Trick, the Flyers generated 2.05 expected goals in all situations in Saturday’s game (Calgary managed 3.93). Instead, Markström held them to zero.
