Hunter Shinkaruk Picks up First NHL Point

Yay youth movement

Calgary native Hunter Shinkaruk picked up his first NHL point in his second NHL game tonight 11 minutes and 13 seconds into the game. The point came off of a secondary assist when he dished the puck to Sean Monahan who then got the puck to a cutting T.J. Brodie who netted one past Louis Domingue.

Shinkaruk is now the second Calgary Flames player to average a point per game with the Flames this season joining Johnny Gaudreau. Of course Gaudreau has a much larger sample size as Shinkaruk has only played one game, but it's still a pretty cool thing to have.
