HOTN: Johnny Gaudreau Snaps A Streak

Calgary Flames 3 - Edmonton Oilers 7

Well, not every game is a masterpiece. Not every game is great. Not every game is quality. Not every game is....well, this one. The Calgary Flames got slapped around by the Edmonton Oilers tonight, falling 7-3 after the Oilers hit the ice with an energy the Flames couldn’t match. Clearly the Flames weren’t going undefeated in the Darryl Sutter Era, so shake it off and move on. Of the three Flames goals, Johnny Gaudreau’s PPG late in the third was their best of the night. Gaudreau took a pass near the faceoff dot and absolutely fired a slapshot past Mike Smith to his top glove side, cutting the Edmonton lead to 7-3.
