HOTN: It Wasn’t Pretty But It Went In

Calgary Flames 1 - Montreal Canadiens 2

The Flames out shot the Canadiens for most of the night and had the better scoring chances (ask the three posts they hit), but at the end of the night Calgary came up a goal short and are now six points behind the Canadiens in the North Division.

Calgary’s lone marker came on a broken play in front on the Montreal net. Elias Lindholm would fan on a shot, collect the puck and blindly toss a back hand shot at the Montreal net, hitting a Canadiens defenceman in front, beating Jake Allen for Calgary’s only goal on the night.
