TORONTO - With an admittedly weak class of eligible candidates in 2016, is this the opening that finally will see the likes of Alex Mogilny, Eric Lindros and even Curtis Joseph find their way into the Hockey Hall of Fame?
In the case of Mogilny, 2015 inductee Sergei Fedorov certainly hopes so.
On Friday, Fedorov made a public plea for Mogilny to finally get the call into the Hall, where he would join his 1989 Russian World Junior linemates Fedorov and Pavel Bure. Bure was inducted into the Hall in 2012.
“I would love it,” Fedorov said.
