Gawdin, 23, was originally a fourth round pick by the St. Louis Blues back in 2015. The Blues opted not to sign Gawdin, who was subsequently signed by the Flames as a free agent and went on a monster 2017-18 season that saw him finish second in WHL scoring and named the league’s playoff MVP.
