Long before he learned moose calling from a world champion or appeared on the Red Green show, Brian Elliott used Nintendo to become one of the most popular kids in Newmarket.
As the son of a TV director, Elliott and his brother were asked regularly to appear on one of Canada’s longest-running game shows called Video and Arcade Top 10 on YTV where kids were brought on to play and demonstrate the latest games.
“We’d get off school and it was pretty cool because whoever got furthest on a level won some prize,” beamed the Calgary Flames new netminder.
