Flames sign Martin Pospisil to one-year contract extension

The Calgary Flames have signed forward Martin Pospisil to a one-year contract extension, the club announced Tuesday.

Pospisil, 22, scored seven goals and 25 points in 47 American Hockey League games with the Stockton Heat during the 2021–22 regular season. He added two goals and six points in 11 playoff appearances with the Heat.

The Flames originally selected Pospisil in the fourth round (No. 105 overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft. The Zvolen, Slovakia product has scored 15 goals and 46 points (plus 186 penalty minutes) in 87 career AHL regular-season games, all with Stockton.
