Flames prospect Ilya Nikolaev named USHL’s Forward of the Week

For his efforts in his team’s playoff sweep this past weekend, Calgary Flames prospect Ilya Nikolaev has earned a league award. The Tri-City Storm forward has been named the United States Hockey League’s Forward of the Week.

Ilya Nikolaev, 20, of Yaroslavl, Russia, was the only Storm player to net multiple goals during the team’s two-game sweep of the Omaha Lancers in the 2022 Western Conference Semifinals.
