Flames make large cuts: 17 players gone from camp

As expected, the Calgary Flames have made a major roster reduction as they continue to prepare for the regular season. Per a release from the club, 17 players have been eliminated from their main camp.

The Cuts

Assigned to the American Hockey League’s Stockton Heat are goaltender Tyler Parsons, defensemen Oliver Kylington and Adam Ollas Mattsson, and forwards Spencer Foo, Glenn Gawdin, Ryan Lomberg, Matthew Phillips and Brett Pollock. Pending them clearing waivers, Tyler Graovac, Morgan Klimchuk, Alan Quine, Buddy Robinson and Kerby Rychel will also be heading to Stockton.

Released outright are four players in camp on professional tryout agreements: Gilbert Brule, Jeff Glass, Ryan Sproul and Viktor Svedberg.
