The higher numbers in a franchise sometimes hold legends in their grasps. Sometimes they are given out to rookies or players who play less than half a season with the team. All are viable scenarios, but #55 in Flames history belongs to an almost one and done who had a significant impact the season and a half he was with the Flames and that honour goes to Rob Ramage.
Before he landed with the Flames, Ramage was already a veteran of nine NHL seasons, playing in four All Star Games and being Norris Trophy nominated defenceman.
