Well, number #50 presented itself with some interesting challenges as no player stood out or had any significant NHL time with the Flames wearing the #50. You could, sort of kind of, argue Patrick Sieloff’s case as he played in only one NHL game with the Flames and scored a goal. But that’s setting the bar REALLY low. Now, it’s too bad Pavel Torgaev didn’t wear it for his first stop with Calgary because in 1995-96 he played in 41 games and his 16 points are BY FAR the best of his career. It’s a shame though because he wore the #18 during that year, which ended up being the best of his two year NHL journey.
