Charlie Coyle looks like a defenceman on the ice. He is big (6-foot-3, 220 pounds), likes to hit, blocks shots, knows where to go in his own zone and even wears No. 3 for the Minnesota Wild, a number more traditionally reserved for rearguards. But the soon-to-be 24-year-old winger owns a pair of hands that only now are beginning to produce at a level hoped for by the Wild when they acquired the 2010 late-first-rounder from the Sharks nearly five years ago in the Brent Burns deal. Coyle now has 18 goals on the season with eight of those quietly coming in his past dozen games.
