The Dallas Stars have signed centre Cody Eakin to a four-year contract extension.
The team announced the move Friday but did not reveal terms of the deal but the Dallas Morning News reported it is a $15.4 million contract with a $3.85M average annual cap hit.
Eakin, 24, tallied 40 points (19 goals) in 78 games last season -- his third with the team since being acquired from Washington for center Mike Ribeiro in June 2012.
In 237 games over four seasons with Washington and Dallas, he has 107 points (46 goals).
