BRECLAV, CZECH REPUBLIC - Pierre-Luc Dubois scored twice and added an assist as Canada beat Sweden 7-3 on Saturday to win the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Trophy.
It’s the eighth year in a row that Canada has won the under-18 international hockey tournament. Canada has won gold 20 times at the Ivan Hlinka since the tournament began in 1991.
Tyler Benson’s goal late in the first period gave Canada a 4-0 lead and stood as the eventual winner. Beck Malenstyn, Michael McLeod, Jordan Kyrou and Tanner Kaspick also scored for the Canadians. Dylan Wells earned the win in net.
