Well, now that the season is over and everyone has hopefully collected themselves we still have some hockey to talk about. No, not the playoffs as those are FAR in the rear view mirror at this point, but the World Championships.
The IIHF World Championships will take place in Kosice and Bratislava, Slovakia from May 10-26 and the Flames will be well represented. Johnny Gaudreau, Derek Ryan and Noah Hanifin will be playing for Team USA when the teams hit the ice in a few weeks. Mikael Backlund notably said “no” to playing for Sweden because he and his wife are expecting, but his one of his line mates will be playing.
