Calgary Flames make right call by freezing season ticket prices

On the ice, the Calgary Flames haven’t done much right of late.

Off the ice, they’re on a roll.

In the midst of a trade deadline windfall that saw GM Brad Treliving net an impressive return for three expiring contracts, the organization made a significant move that didn’t show up on the transaction wire or any press releases.

The Flames decided to freeze season ticket prices for next year.

In the world of pro sports it’s as rare as a Maple Leafs playoff push, a Bill Belichick smile or a Kobe Bryant pass.

It has nothing to do with the Flames’ horrific season.
