Bill Peters Officially Resigns from the Calgary Flames

As expected, Bill Peters is no longer the head coach of the Calgary Flames. According to Brad Treliving, Peters tendered a letter of resignation to the Flames this morning. It took roughly 90 hours from the time the first allegations were made against Peters by Akim Aliu until the resignation.

The Flames swiftly and thoroughly handled the investigation, speaking with Aliu twice, multiple teammates, management, and staff of the Rockford IceHogs at the time. Treliving also briefly addressed the physical allegations by Michal Jordan from Peters time in Carolina, which were also corroborated by speaking to members of the Hurricanes.
