For the first time in almost two years, professional women’s hockey has officially returned to Calgary!
It was March of 2019 when the former Calgary Inferno captured the Canadian Women’s Hockey League championship, the Clarkson Cup, a short time before the league then folded. However, the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association will be filling that space with a new Calgary-based squad joining what will now encompass a five-team league. Over a dozen familiar names from past Calgary Inferno squads will join Team Scotiabank.
Scotiabank has signed on to become the 'Official Bank of the @PWHPA' and has introduced #TeamScotiabank, Calgary's team for the upcoming Secret Dream Gap Tour.
