Answering questions toughest part of night for Calgary Flames prospect [Photos]

Born in Belarus and a bit uncomfortable speaking English in a crowd, Calgary Flames prospect Pavel Karnaukhov shimmied in front of a circle of reporters and pleaded, “Easy questions, OK?”

Not to worry, Pavel.

When you score twice and add an assist, you typically don’t face many tough ones.

Karnaukhov was the offensive star in Wednesday’s 5-1 victory over the University of Calgary Dinos at WinSport’s Markin MacPhail Centre, the final item on the itinerary for Flames’ rookie camp.

“I thought (Wednesday) was maybe his best game. I think he’s been one guy who has consistently gotten better every game he has played,” said Stockton Heat head coach Ryan Huska, who was behind the bench for the Flames prospects at the Young Stars tourney in Penticton, B.
