MarkParkinson14: (C) Gillies was hard to figure out this season, but he did have some time to show his wares and the results were.....average. Some nights he looked really good and other nights he looked like he needed more seasoning. Mike Smith’s injury allowed Gillies the chance to get some ice time and I’m not sure he made the most out of it. He tends to look uncomfortable early in games, but he settles in and can look solid.
