Our unofficial statistics week continues here at FlamesNation as we continued to poke the analytics beehive to look at the 2014-15 edition of the Calgary Flames.
Today we look at special teams.
In a way, this is an extension of yesterday's look at scoring chances using War On Ice's figures. By adjusting for differences in ice-time by looking at the Chances Per 60 Minutes rates, we can see who the most and least effective penalty killers and power-play personnel were on the hockey club.
We set a floor of 50 minutes on the ice for the power-play and penalty kill to limit the discussion to regular special teams contributors.
