Nathan Adrian came close to repeating as a Gold medalist in the 100 Free but has to settle for the Bronze. The 3rd time Calympian did win his 2nd medal in Rio 2016. He finished with a time of 47.85.
Kyle Chalmers of Australia took the Gold with a time of 47.58. Pieter Timmers of Belgium took the Silver with a time of 47.80.
Adrian now has 4 Golds, a Silver, and a Bronze in his Olympic career.
Adrian barely made it to the semifinal on Tuesday morning with only the 16th best time in the prelim to grab the last semifinal berth.
