California Golden Bears center Michael Saffell has been placed on the Wuerffel Trophy watch list, officially placing him on the short list for the award that honors the country’s top college football community servant.
The Wuerffel Trophy announced their watch list for the 2020 season, honoring 114 different college football players from the FBS. This was a record number of members of the watch list since the trophy was instituted in 1997. The award was named after former Florida Gators QB Danny Wuerffel and has seen just one Pac-12 player win the award since it’s inception.
