It’s the last race before the season ending IRA (for the men) and NCAA (for the women) championships in two weeks. Cal Men’s and Women’s Rowing (or Crew, if you prefer the older nomenclature, which Cal only recently moved away from to be consistent with what the sport is called by the NCAA) raced in a weather effected Pac-12 Championships on Sunday morning from Lake Natoma, just outside Sacramento.
Continuing their strong season, Cal Women’s Varsity 8+ boat stayed undefeated in winning a very close race over Stanford and Washington.
