The obstacle course show, American Ninja Warrior, has always had some Cal connection with Winter Calympian Johnny Moseley being one of its first host. As that show has gotten bigger in recent years, several veteran ninjas have started to stand out - one of them is former Cal Men’s Gymnastics team member Sean Bryan, aka the Papal Ninja in honor of his Catholic faith.
Originally from New Jersey, Bryan transferred to Cal from Temple and competed for two years on the Cal Men’s Gymnastics program in 2006 and 2007. His best event was the parallel bars at the NCAA national championships.
