Beyonce, Coldplay, and Bruno Mars were doing their thing at the Super Bowl halftime stage, but for Cal fans that was not the center stage. Only one college program was involved in the 2016 Super Bowl Halftime Show: The University of California Marching Band!

Jason Tran of the Daily Cal has more on the process. The Cal Band spent much of their time on the field performing with Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars, and prerecorded instrumental music and vocals for Coldplay's part of the show.
