The international group on the Cal roster continues to grow as 2019 German F/C committed to the Bears after his official visit this weekend. The 6-11 big man played for Bayer Leverkusen in the German Basketball League and held offers from Saint Mary’s and Oregon State. Thiemann will be 5th international player on the roster behind Grant Anticevich, Dimitrios Klonaras, Kuany Kuany and Joel Brown.
Athletic 7-foot, 250 pound center Lars Thiemann committed to Cal, a source told ESPN. The 19 year old German junior national team player averaged 19 points, 13 rebounds in 28 minutes per game in the German NBBL U19 league for Leverkuzen.
