YWCA Utah to recognize five community leaders for their work supporting women, girls

YWCA Utah will recognize five community leaders for their work supporting women and girls at the organization’s 31st annual Leader Luncheon Friday in Salt Lake City.

More than 1,000 people are expected to attend the event honoring Rosie Rivera, Deanna Kepka, Amy Rees Anderson, Mara Rabin and Kendra Tomsic.

The goal is “to honor women in our community who have achieved amazing things in their fields while also being advocates and champions of" women, girls and racial justice, said Amberlie Phillips, chief development officer at YWCA Utah.

“There’s something special about having that much positive female energy and celebrating it,” Phillips said.
