Washington redshirt junior wide receiver Ty Jones announced Wednesday afternoon that he will enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Why is this relevant for BYU? Jones is a 2017 graduate of Provo High School and was ranked a 4-star, top 100 prospect by 247 Sports coming out of high school. BYU and Utah both recruited Jones out of high school, and Jones was a Utah commit before de-committing and signing with UW. BYU’s current offensive coordinator, Aaron Roderick, was the OC at Utah when the Utes were recruiting him, so he is very familiar with Jones.
