After going undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft, former BYU Basketball guard Kyle Collinsworth turned down a big contract to play in Russia and instead play for the Texas Legends in hopes of making the NBA.

After spending time in the G-League for a little over a year, Kyle was called up by the Mavericks on December 20, 2017.

Kyle played in 32 games for the Mavs this past season (starting two), and in 15 minutes per game averaged 3.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 8.8 assists. He had season highs of 13 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists, and nearly recorded a triple double in the final regular season game (10 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists).
