Utah built a 27-point lead in the first half and held on for a 92-81 victory over UCLA to properly stage Senior Night on Saturday at the Huntsman Center.
Utah finished the regular season 17-13 overall and 11-7 in the Pac-12, going 6-0 against the California schools. The Utes tied for third place and earned the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament. They will play Thursday (9:30 p.m. MDT) in Las Vegas against the winner of a first-round game.
Senior guard Sedrick Barefield led the Utes with 29 points and freshman forward Timmy Allen added 17.
