On Monday, the Utah men’s basketball program announced an agreement for a home-and-home series with the Nevada Wolfpack starting this season. The reigning Mountain West Conference regular season champions are scheduled to visit the Huntsman Center this year with the first of two games played in Salt Lake City on Saturday, Dec. 29.
The date of the return leg in Reno, Nev., next year is expected to be announced at a later date. The upcoming meeting will be the 11th time Utah and Nevada have faced off, but the first meeting since 1987.
“We are looking forward to the challenge of a very competitive non-conference schedule this upcoming season,” said Utah coach Larry Krystkowiak in a news release.
