Utah starts Signing Day by beefing up defensive line

The Utes have gotten the February portion of National Signing Day off to a fast start with six signings, including three in-state standouts as well as twin brothers from Texas.

Timpview defensive tackle Jackson Cravens, the 11th-best prospect in the state and the top defensive tackle prospect according to 247Sports, signed a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday morning. Cravens, the nephew of Utah coach Kyle Whittingham and assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Fred Whittingham Jr., has been rated a three-star prospect by both ESPN.com.

East High’s Paul Maile joined Cravens as a top-rated defensive tackle signing with the Utes.
