A Utah man was one of six people killed in Alaska, when two sightseeing planes carrying cruise ship passengers collided in midair.
Ryan Wilk, 39, was among those killed about 8 miles from Ketchikan in the Monday crash, according to a news release from the Alaska Department of Public Safety.
Elsa Wilk, a 37-year-old female, from Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, also was among those who died. But it is unclear if the two were related.
According to the Associated Press, the larger plane, with 10 passengers and the pilot, descended from 3,800 feet and collided with a smaller plane, carrying four passengers from the same cruise ship, the Royal Princess, and the pilot.
