Utah man dies of injuries suffered when his girlfriend allegedly started a fire at their apartment

Police identified a man Tuesday who died from injuries he suffered in an Ogden house fire, which his girlfriend allegedly started following an argument.

Three days after the May 1 fire at 2638 Adams Avenue critically injured 66-year-old Dennis Singleton, he was removed from life support and died, according to a news release from the Ogden Police Department.

Singleton lived at the apartment with his 56-year-old girlfriend, Kristilynn Thompson, who was arrested and charged with aggravated arson, a first-degree felony, according to police.

Ogden police Lt. Tim Scott said that prior to the fire, officers had been to the apartment on service calls for multiple domestic violence incidents involving Thompson and Singleton.
