Gerald Salcido, 63, was booked into jail Friday on suspicion of multiple counts of sexual conduct with a minor and at least one count of child molestation, all felonies, according to a news release from the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.
“The charges in Maricopa County stem from allegations before Salcido was employed with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office,” the release states. Salcido has been a Utah County deputy for the past 14 years. He is on unpaid administrative leave, the Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
