Timmy Allen steadies the Utes in a 77-73 win over UC Davis

Utah (5-2) led by 13 points midway through the second half, but the Aggies got within four before Allen hit a tough shot with the 30-second clock running down. Allen then stole the ball and made two free throws for a 70-62 lead with 1:40 remaining.

Rylan Jones added 18 points for Utah, Riley Battin had 15 and Both Gach scored 11 as the Utes shot 57.8% from the field.

UC Davis (2-7), coached by former Jazz guard Jim Les, was coming off a 72-66 loss at California on Tuesday.
