The Triple Team: Andy Larsen’s analysis of Warriors going back to fast-paced, 3-point shooting to defeat Jazz

There were stretches of this game where the Jazz played terrifically: essentially, the two middle quarters of the game. During those stretches, the Jazz outscored the Warriors by 14 points, and the Jazz’s offense was flowing.

A lot of that success came from the Jazz figuring out how to attack DeMarcus Cousins, who doesn’t have all of his mobility back after returning from a raptured Achilles. Time and time again, the Jazz put Cousins in pick and roll and found success, as they did here:

And on the defensive end, for most of the game, they did a really nice job of helping away from the right spots (Cousins, Andre Iguodala, Draymond Green) and towards Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Steph Curry.
