Teenager arrested after fatal shooting in West Valley City

Police on Wednesday arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with a fatal shooting in West Valley City.

A 49-year-old man named Charles Baker, from California, died at the scene of the Tuesday afternoon shooting. Two others, a man and a teenage boy, were injured in the shooting.

Two groups had been involved in “some sort of altercation” before the shooting, which happened at an apartment complex at 3510 West Parkway Blvd. (about 2700 South), according to West Valley City police spokeswoman Roxeanne Vainuku.

A 17-year-old was shot in the torso and a 38-year-old man was shot multiple times.
